About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Manager – Controllership to join our growing Finance team. The role will be responsible for driving accounting, month-end closure, financial reporting, controllership processes and compliance, while partnering closely with business teams to ensure strong financial discipline and visibility.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, getting into the details and solving problems in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business, marketing and operations teams, understand the financial impact of business decisions and contribute to building scalable finance processes as Rapido continues to grow.

What Youll Do

  • Manage key areas of accounting and controllership, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely closure.
  • Drive month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, provisions, accruals, reconciliations and other closing activities.
  • Prepare and analyse MIS, financial reports, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to provide clear visibility into business performance.
  • Own and review balance sheet reconciliations, identify open items and ensure timely resolution.
  • Partner with business, marketing and operations teams to understand transactions, business drivers and their financial implications.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Strengthen financial controls and processes to improve accuracy, timeliness and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Support internal, statutory and external audits, including preparation of schedules, documentation and resolution of audit queries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and standardisation across controllership activities.
  • Work closely with finance leadership to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
  • Take ownership of ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic finance projects as required.

What Were Looking For

  • CA with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, controllership and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end closure, reconciliations, provisions, accruals and financial controls.
  • Good understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-growing company, e-commerce, D2C, consumer internet or technology environment will be an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets; experience with ERP/accounting systems or BI tools is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, ambiguous and evolving environment.
