Job Description
Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.
Role Overview
As a Plant HR Manager you will be responsible for the entire employee lifecycle from hiring skilled technicians to ensuring high safety standards and maintaining a positive labor relations climate. Your goal is to foster a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce that hits production targets without sacrificing culture.
What Youll Actually Do
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical, hourly, and salaried roles. Ensure new hires are integrated effectively into the plants specific safety and operational culture.
- Labor & Industrial Relations: Serve as the point of contact for grievance handling and conflict resolution. Maintain a proactive open-door policy to resolve issues before they escalate.
- Performance Management: Support floor supervisors in delivering fair evaluations and managing performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Training & Development: Identify skills gaps on the line and coordinate technical training, safety certifications, and leadership development for high-potential operators.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with local labor laws and OSHA/safety regulations. Partner with the EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) team to drive a zero-incident culture.
- Payroll & Admin Oversight: Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll processing for shift-based employees, managing complexities like overtime and shift differentials.
- 23 years HR experience specifically in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Bachelors / MBA degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM/PHR certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with HRIS and time-tracking software.
