The International Accounting team is seeking a versatile Senior Accountant to join the growing team and support Reddit’s global growth. This position will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of Reddit’s statutory financial statements in India and other international markets in Europe and APAC; coordinating with third party service providers. This position will work cross functionally across Reddit, providing process knowledge and technical expertise in establishing and maintaining legal entities and contributing to our month end close, consolidation, and intercompany accounting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is organized, analytical, collaborative, and a problem solver. What You’ll Do

• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly close deliverables.
• Assist in the management of third party relationships; coordinate and manage deadlines, statutory requests, funding needs, etc.
• Support the establishment of new international entities; requires excellent cross functional communication and planning as well as attention to detail in the initial administration and set up.
• Independently drive local statutory review processes for our international entities.
• Review monthly international financial statements and trend analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy of results in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
• Assist with interfacing with the Company’s external auditors and coordination on annual group and statutory audits in India and other international markets.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards or accounting for non-standard transactions.
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  5+ years of progressive accounting experience; ideally, a public accounting/private industry mix
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Excellent knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and regulations, US GAAP. IFRS and other country local GAAP a plus.
• Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) strongly preferred (Active or Inactive)
• Possess excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills
• Ability to manage projects effectively and efficiently
• Experience designing and implementing new policies and procedures with proven ability to drive process and system improvements
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (Netsuite preferred) and other financial systems (experience with Workiva is a plus)
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office and Google products (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
• Positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
