Job Description
- As an Accounting Clerk specialized in Accounts Receivable Transactions at Regenesys Business School, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Accountant with General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger accounting functions within the Group of Companies. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily reconciliations of Accounts Receivable (AR) accounts to ensure timely processing of invoices and receipts
- Converting quotes to invoices and processing them efficiently
- Verifying debtors" receipts and monitoring defaulting debtors, escalating issues when necessary
- Resolving queries promptly and effectively
- Managing documents related to AR transactions
- Conducting GL transactional accounting and reconciliations
- Providing reports to facilitate financial reconciliations
- Actively participating in self-development and training
- Collaborating closely with a motivated and effective team
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- Post matric diploma or degree in Accounting
- Competency in Microsoft 365, with basic proficiency in Excel
- Experience with accounting systems, preferably Sage Evolution
- Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as an Accounting Clerk specializing in AR Transactions
- Experience in working within an academic institution will be advantageous
