About the Role

PepsiCo is looking for a Data Architect to support its global Finance Data Platform known as SPOT. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data, comfortable working in a global environment, and skilled at translating business needs into technical solutions. You will serve as a subject matter expert for SPOT data, help stakeholders define data requirements, and configure access policies to support secure and compliant data usage.

Key Responsibilities

Data Expertise and Stakeholder Support

• Serve as the SME for SPOT data, ensuring deep understanding of data structures and usage.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to define the data required for their business workflows.
• Communicate effectively with finance and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements.
  

Data Access & Governance

• Align with SPOT Finance Product Owners on data sharing principles and access guidelines.
  
• Configure, maintain, and optimize data access policies using the data access management tool.
• Ensure access policies follow governance standards and meet compliance requirements.
  

Data Investigation & Problem Solving

• Use SQL to explore datasets, investigate issues, and resolve data queries raised by external stakeholders.
• Diagnose root-cause issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Support continuous improvement of data quality and accessibility.
  

Functional Collaboration

• Translate business requirements into technical data specifications.
• Work closely with engineering, finance, and product teams to support platform enhancements.
• Operate within an Agile program, contributing to sprint activities and cross-functional workflows.
  

Working Model

• Engage with teams across multiple geographies, requiring flexibility in work hours.
• Be available on-site at least two days per week to collaborate with the local team and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong SQL skills for querying large datasets and understanding structured data.
• Experience with Databricks, DBSQL, or Unity Catalog preferred.
• Ability to read/understand SQL transformation scripts is beneficial.
  

Functional Skills

• Experience translating business requirements into technical data specifications.
• Exposure to financial data or finance terminology is a plus.
  

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills, especially in English, which is the business language.
• Analytical mindset with a love for data and problem solving.
• Ability to handle large data volumes with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with global teams and diverse backgrounds.

Additional Notes

• Candidate must live in Hyderabad or be willing to commute to the Ranga Reddy District office.
• Flexibility is required for meetings with global teams outside standard India hours.
