Benefits Manager - Pharmacy Benefit Management Domain

This individual will play a pivotal role in building PBM domain capabilities in India by training and mentoring staff, aligning them to U.S. healthcare and pharmacy benefit management standards, and ensuring seamless integration of domain knowledge into Technology product building & operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as primary PBM domain SME supporting Technology & operations teams.

- Design and deliver training programs to onboard and upskill teams on the U.S. pharmacy and PBM ecosystem, terminology, workflows, regulations, and compliance.

- Collaborate with US teams to tailor training content & sessions for Technology & Operations

teams in India, based on their roles, to equip them with subject knowledge for effective delivery output.

- Act as a bridge between U.S. and India teams, ensuring clarity of business requirements,

domain expectations, and operational priorities.

- Provide subject matter expertise on PBM Knowledge to teams across Technology & Operations portfolio.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, analytics, clinical services, and

technology to drive PBM-aligned deliverables.

- Support knowledge documentation, SOP creation, and continuous learning efforts to build a sustainable PBM knowledge base in the GCC.

- Guide strategic domain-related initiatives and contribute to domain-specific process excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- 10-15 years of progressive experience in the U.S. Pharmacy and PBM industry, with in-depth knowledge of PBM domains such as benefit configuration, claims processing, formulary management, pricing, and compliance.

- Prior experience working with or within a PBM or healthcare organization in the U.S. is

mandatory.

- Experience working in or with a Global Capability Center (GCC) in India is strongly preferred.

- Proven track record of training, mentoring, and capability building across global teams.

- Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare regulations (HIPAA etc.) and how they impact PBM functions.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Has Knack for technology & understanding of Common Software Development Methodologies.

Preferred Attributes

- Experience with PBM platform tools and systems.

- Clinical or pharmacy background (e.g. BPharm) is a plus but not required.

- Passion for knowledge sharing, team development, and process excellence.
