Job Description
- We are seeking motivated freshers with 4-6 months of Python project experience (college or internship) who are eager to learn quickly with AI tools. As a part of our team, you will be trained on our existing Quant Portal structure (Django + Angular + PrimeNG) and will be expected to start contributing to real features within 2 weeks.
Your key responsibilities will include utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini Code Assist, Copilot, etc. to generate and refine code efficiently, following established project patterns to build Django REST APIs (models, serializers, viewsets), developing Angular + PrimeNG components like tables, forms, and filters, collaborating with team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing, as well as learning and implementing basic DevOps practices including Git workflow, WSL/Docker for local setup, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
During the training program, you will go through a structured learning process where in Week 1, you will focus on project setup and AI-guided learning of Django + Angular structure, and in Week 2, you will be expected to deliver your first end-to-end feature slice encompassing API, UI, and testing.
The selection process for this role involves a take-home assignment with an estimated effort of 12-18 hours, to be completed within a 72-hour window. Additionally, there will be a review and presentation session where you will demonstrate your solution, provide a code walkthrough, and make a small live change. The team interview will cover discussions on testing, debugging, risk/edge cases, and collaboration. AI tools are allowed and encouraged during the process, but you must cite key prompts and verify all outputs.

To apply for this role, you must be able to commit to completing the assignment within the specified time frame, present your code confidently during the demo and walkthrough, and have proficiency in using Git along with running a Docker/WSL/venv setup. The requirements include 4-6 months of Python coding experience, basic knowledge of SQL and web development (HTML, CSS, JS), ability to use AI for coding and debugging, exposure to Django or Flask, basic knowledge of Angular/React, interest in financial markets, self-motivation, fast learning ability, discipline to follow the existing project structure, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for debugging code.
