Lead Analyst/Principal Analyst - Strategic Intelligence

A leading global investment and alternative asset management firm with a strong research-driven culture and presence across public and private markets. The firm combines fundamental research, quantitative analysis and technology to support investment decisions and works closely with institutional investors globally.

We are looking for a Lead Analyst / Principal Analyst to join the Strategic Intelligence Group based in Gurugram.

This is a high-impact role working closely with investment teams to identify the right industry experts, shape research questions and generate insights that help deepen the understanding of companies and industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with investment analysts to understand the underlying research questions and translate them into focused research agendas.
• Identify, screen and engage relevant industry and subject-matter experts.
• Build and manage relationships with senior professionals and external experts.
• Lead research projects end-to-end, from scoping and expert identification to outreach and consultation.
• Bring structure to broad or ambiguous research requests and determine the right direction for the research.
• Prepare clear, concise and well-documented expert profiles and research summaries.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and turnaround.
• Work within regulatory and compliance requirements while handling sensitive information.
• Partner with technology teams to improve and automate workflows.
• Drive process improvements and mentor junior team members.

What We Are Looking For:

• 4 - 10 years of relevant experience in expert networks, primary/market research, client solutions, consulting, investment research or similar roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Communications, Law or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand the real objective behind a research request and identify the right experts.
• Strong project management, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, discretion and integrity.
• Experience mentoring team members or driving process improvements would be an advantage.
