Job Description
- You will be working as an Associate Director - Software Engineer at OSTTRA India, leading a team of developers and actively contributing to system design and complex coding tasks. The Technology team you will be a part of focuses on building, supporting, and protecting applications for Capital Markets, involving high-performance, high-volume, and compute-intensive applications leveraging contemporary microservices and cloud-based architectures.
Your role will involve leading the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of scalable and distributed critical services with high throughput requirements. You will be responsible for hands-on development, designing technical architecture, guiding the team on technical execution, and liaising with enterprise architecture for complex initiatives. Collaborating with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define scope, and influence priorities will also be part of your responsibilities.
As a Technical Lead, you are expected to conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, ensure high-quality deliverables, distribute work across the team, manage delivery timelines, and maintain workload balance. You will also drive sprint planning, estimation, and progress tracking, identify technical risks, provide proactive solutions, offer mentorship and technical guidance to developers, troubleshoot complex application and database issues, and ensure team growth.
To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, along with 12 to 15 years of experience. Your core technical skills should include expert-level proficiency in Core Java, experience in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture, familiarity with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA, and knowledge of system design, design patterns, and architectural best practices. Additionally, experience with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and SQL and RDBMS will be advantageous.
You should possess strong stakeholder communication, expectation management, work prioritization, task delegation capabilities, team leadership, mentorship, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines. This role is based in Gurgaon, India.
