Job Title: Team Leader - US Accounting Outsourcing

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Team Leader - US Accounting to oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting team, ensure timely and accurate deliverables, and maintain direct communication with US-based clients and CPAs.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in US accounting, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to managing client expectations and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of accountants and bookkeepers handling multiple US clients
- Review work prepared by team members - including bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end closing
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and IRS guidelines
- Manage client communication, addressing queries and ensuring timely delivery of reports
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to the team
- Assist in preparation and review of financial statements, tax schedules, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Admin, IT) for smooth team operations
- Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Report project status and key performance metrics to management
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- 5-8 years of experience in US Accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a team leadership or review role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop), Xero, ADP Payroll, and Excel
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, 1099 compliance, and reconciliations
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Experience in a KPO/BPO/outsourcing environment preferred
- Familiarity with Bill.com, Gusto, Hubdoc, Expensify, or Lacerte
- Exposure to US tax forms (1040, 1120, 1065)
- Experience working directly with CPA firms
