Role Overview
Were looking for a sharp, proactive, and analytical Business Finance Lead / Head to own P&L governance, enable data-driven decisions, and be a strategic finance partner across the organization. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment and is passionate about scaling a consumer business with financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting

• Manage the finance team to ensure accurate accounting, MIS, and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, audits, ROC filings).
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting for founders and investors.
• Ensure strong internal controls and financial discipline across teams.
  

Cash Flow & Operations

• Manage working capital cycles (payments, receivables, vendor terms).
• Optimize treasury, banking relationships, and cash reserves.
• Oversee financial processes for 40+ team members.
• Help prioritize strategic spends, defer non-critical outflows, and advise on capital deployment
  

Strategic Finance

• Partner with founders on fundraising (equity/debt), investor relations, and board reporting.
• Build business models for new categories, offline expansion, and international growth.
• Consolidate data from sales, ads, ops, and inventory for comprehensive internal dashboards
• Track unit economics, margins, and contribution profitability across channels (D2C, quick commerce, e-commerce).
  

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure timely audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement financial systems/tools to support scale.

Requirements

• 6 - 10 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, or controllership roles
• Prior exposure to D2C, eCommerce, or consumer brands preferred
• Strong command over P&L ownership, cost control, financial modeling, and forecasting
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with tools like Zoho Books, Tally, or similar is a plus
• Experience working in founder-led, high-growth startups will be a strong advantage
• High attention to detail, business acumen, and a solution-oriented mindset
• CA / MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
