Role Description This is a full-time, on-site IBDP Math Teacher role based at the SGIS campus in Kolhapur. The IBDP Math Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme mathematics lessons, aligned with IB standards and school guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments; facilitating inquiry-based learning; and differentiating instruction to support diverse learners. The teacher will regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate records, and contribute to internal and external examination preparation. Additional duties include participating in curriculum development, collaborating with colleagues, attending school events and meetings, supporting co-curricular activities, and contributing to the overall well-being and pastoral care of students.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IBDP Mathematics curriculum (AA/AI, SL/HL) and modern pedagogical practices, including inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching mathematics, assessment, and communication (e.g., interactive whiteboards, learning management systems, online resources).
• Effective classroom management, lesson planning, and assessment design skills, with the ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning styles and abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and support students academic writing and research skills.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics or a closely related field; a recognized teaching qualification and prior IB or international school experience are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning, holistic education, and fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and global-mindedness.
