Chief Operating Officer - Solar/Renewable Energy

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee end-to-end operations across multiple solar EPC and renewable energy projects.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
• Drive timely execution of projects while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Manage project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
• Supervise engineering, project management, procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance teams.
• Monitor project progress through regular site inspections and operational reviews.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and project resources.
• Take ownership of P&L, project profitability, operational costs, and revenue performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, EPC partners, government authorities, consultants, and vendors.
• Resolve operational bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish KPIs, operational dashboards, and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and best operational practices across locations.
• Lead and mentor regional operations teams, ensuring high employee engagement and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and HSE policies.
• Collaborate with business development, finance, procurement, and leadership teams to support organizational growth.
• Present operational updates, business insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in the Solar Energy or Renewable Energy sector.
• Must currently be working in a leadership role such as:

• 1. Operations Head
• 2. Regional Operations Head
• 3. Country Operations Head
• 4. National Operations Manager
• 5. Head of Projects & Operations

• Strong experience in managing multiple large-scale solar projects simultaneously.
• Hands-on exposure to project execution, engineering operations, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in driving operational efficiency and business profitability.
• Proven expertise in handling cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in both English and Hindi is essential.
• Candidates currently based in Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, or other North India locations will be preferred.
