Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with solid exposure to US accounting processes. The role focuses on handling core accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting monthly close and reporting. This position requires hands-on experience in US accounting but remains operational and practical, not highly advanced or specialized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update books of accounts as per US GAAP
• 
  Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prepare and post journal entries and manage general ledger activities
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare basic financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Review and process invoices, expenses, and payments
• Track revenue, expenses, and accruals
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and audit trails
• Assist in preparing data for audits and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams and US clients for accounting-related queries
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Support payroll accounting entries and reconciliations
• Assist with 1099 preparation and vendor data verification

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• 36 years of experience in US accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong understanding of US GAAP fundamentals

  Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)
• Good working knowledge of AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic data analysis)
• Experience in month-end close activities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills for client and internal coordination

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience working with US-based clients
• Exposure to sales tax, 1099 filings, and basic compliance
• Experience in audit support
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms
