Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Liaise with site storekeepers to ensure inventory records are accurately maintained and regularly updated.
  • Work closely with the construction team to schedule material deliveries in line with project timelines and resolve any delays.
  • Compile and present cost and procurement reports to support timely processing of accounts payables.
  • Assist project managers in forecasting material and equipment needs to prevent disruptions.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, coordinating inventories across sites, departments, and camps.
  • Supervise logistics operations to guarantee safe and on-time delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Track material consumption trends and demand patterns to mitigate risks of stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports on inventory levels, usage, and procurement status to management and project teams.
  • Perform routine material reconciliations in accordance with project or audit requirements.
  • Oversee general store administration, including management of tools, lifting gear, scaffolding materials, scrapped items, and asset records.
  • Ensure storage areas are safe, secure, adequately maintained, and in line with inventory preservation guidelines.
  • Carry out stock audits and inventory checks as per organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with internal requisitioning teams and procurement to expedite material deliveries and provide necessary technical inputs.
  • Manage the logistics of dispatching repairable and insured items, including coordination with vendors.

  • Monitor and control the misuse or wastage of construction materials and equipment.
  • Enforce adherence to safety standards and ensure compliance with the companys Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system.

Any Guraduate with Post Graduate diploma in Material Management
