Department Manager

Description:


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Business Performance:

- Set, monitor, and achieve sales objectives for the assigned department.

- Develop, communicate, and execute sales plans to consistently meet targets.

- Analyze sales performance and take corrective actions to improve results.
Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation:

- Ensure the floor layout is executed as per planogram and brand standards.


- Maintain visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring timely replenishment and presentation.

- Ensure merchandise is properly stacked and displayed for optimal customer experience.
Inventory & Merchandising Management:

- Manage inventory levels and track top 5 styles across each sub-department.

- Provide regular feedback to the merchandising team based on sales trends and customer demand.

- Ensure accurate stock handling and timely replenishment.
Customer Service Excellence:

- Ensure prompt and high-quality customer service at all times.

- Address customer concerns and escalations efficiently.

- Drive customer satisfaction and repeat footfall.
Team Management & Development:

- Manage daily manpower planning to ensure adequate floor coverage.

- Lead, motivate, and manage department team members.

- Identify training and development needs and support team skill enhancement.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Operational Control:

- Conduct competition surveys to stay updated on market trends and pricing.

- Ensure shrinkage control through adherence to SOPs and loss-prevention practices.

- Maintain operational compliance and store discipline.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of team handling experience, preferably in retail operations.
- Graduate / MBA qualification.
- Strong sales orientation and customer-first mindset.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Good understanding of visual merchandising, inventory management, and retail operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
