What is the role
As a Finance Controller, you will oversee all aspects of our financial management, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, implementing and improving financial processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our business objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to impact a fast-paced and evolving environment significantly.
Financial Reporting And Analysis

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and long-term planning.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and assess financial risks.
  

Financial Controls And Compliance

• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Lead the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors.

  Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  

Budgeting And Forecasting

• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor budget vs actual performance.
• Create financial forecasts to guide resource allocation and business strategy.
  

Cash Management

• Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, investment strategies, and optimising working capital.
• Oversee banking relationships and maintain appropriate banking structures.
  

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor the finance team, including accountants and financial analysts.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  

Strategic Financial Planning

• Assist in developing and executing financial strategies to support company growth and profitability.
• Provide financial insights to support mergers and acquisitions, if applicable.
  

What do you bring to the table

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters degree or CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in progressively responsible financial roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards (GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
