Job Description
- As a Staff QA Engineer at Skylo, based in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our OSS/BSS systems through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. Your expertise in telecommunications or related industries, along with a deep understanding of architectures and protocols, will be key in contributing to our dynamic team.
**Role Overview:**
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies for BSS/OSS applications, develop and execute test cases, and perform end-to-end testing of billing system integrations. Your responsibilities will include validating data flows, identifying defects, automating test cases, and ensuring the quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Understand requirements and define testing strategies for BSS/OSS applications
- Develop and execute test cases to verify functionality, performance, and reliability of OSS/BSS systems
- Perform end-to-end testing of billing system integrations
- Validate data flows, interfaces, and data transformations
- Identify and report defects, working closely with developers for resolution
- Automate test cases to improve efficiency and scalability
- Execute regression tests to validate system changes, upgrades, and patches
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in OSS/BSS testing methodologies
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 6+ years of experience in quality assurance/testing roles focusing on BSS/OSS systems in the telecommunications industry
- Proficiency in testing OSS/BSS components such as billing systems and provisioning systems
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks
- Strong understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and CI/CT practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Certifications in quality assurance/testing and telecommunications are a plus
