Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Expert with 5-12 years of expertise in hydroelectric or dam construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil and rock mechanics, and providing technical recommendations to ensure the stability and safety of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geotechnical investigations, soil and rock testing, and site assessments.
• Analyze geotechnical data and provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and ground improvement techniques.
• Supervise and coordinate with site teams, contractors, and consultants for geotechnical-related activities.
• 
  Evaluate geological hazards and risks associated with dam and hydroelectric projects.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, design documentation, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with structural, civil, and hydropower engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into the overall project design.
• Monitor and review geotechnical instrumentation data for performance assessment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-12 years of relevant experience in hydroelectric or dam construction projects.
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD, etc.).
