Responsibilities
The Middle East Support Front Officer, SFO Dubai, is in charge of coordinating the end-to-end KYC process for all business lines covered in Dubai and Saudi.
SFO Dubai handles the prioritization and oversees the on-boarding process from start to end within the Middle East region, having many contacts within the bank and outside the bank to fulfil this task. SFO Dubai also handles the KYC Review campaigns on behalf of the FO Responsible (FOR).
SFO is Coordinator/Facilitator/Improver of the whole KYC process. Single point of contact for FOs, operations, KYC, Compliance, or Tax officers wherever located/implicated ensuring the link with the other teams.
Responsible for implementing the Societe Generale Group policies and procedures locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Compliance organisation of Societe Generale.
The role is instrumental in improving the overall efficiency of the KYC renewals of our existing clients and the onboarding of new ones
Tasks and responsibilities:
Helps identify and maintain the Front Officer Responsible (FOR) & Front Office Escalation (FOE) of the KYC Campaign
- Confirms the strategy in collecting all the documents, with the relevant bankers and is the point of contact for clients’ enquiries regarding the KYC process
- Collects and consolidates business activities (current and expected) with various bankers/business lines/regions and also confirms and validates any client deactivations with the Primary Client Relationship Unit (PCRU)
- Eases FOs tasks in collecting all documents necessary for the bank’s due diligence in terms of KYC, embargo, AML, Tax, etc. and controls the quality of documents submitted by the customers, checking that they meet the requirements or propose alternative solutions in case of negative feedback to provide a document
- Collects and consolidates data for regular reporting to management and Compliance and prepares presentations for the location regulator or internal inspection, when required
- Ensures internal stakeholders adhere to local processes and relevant data is recorded to be presented to the region on a weekly basis, raising alerts wherever required
- Eases FOs tasks in collecting all documents necessary for the bank’s due diligence in terms of KYC, embargo, AML, Tax, etc. and controls the quality of documents submitted by the customers, checking that they meet the requirements or propose alternative solutions in case of negative feedback to provide a document
- When necessary, update the local on-boarding procedure and cascade it to the region
- Participating in ad hoc meetings with Compliance on very sensitive / urgent deals, by being cooperative and willing to help, anticipating and solving issues

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master’s degree from an Engineering School or University
- Fluent in English
- A second language is a plus, but not a must
- Understanding of the specific stakes of each business line regarding business development and thus the particular needs related to on boarding & customer data management
- Good Knowledge/Expertise of business processes: KYC, contract types, regulatory controls (Tax, MIFID, EMIR, DFA…)
- Client oriented
- Capacity to interact at any levels with the Client
- Ability to place client’s interest at the heart of actions
- Cooperation, ability to work with multiples interlocutors of different levels/backgrounds and from various business units

This VIE in Dubai is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
