Job Description
- Handle end-to-end procurement of materials required for Solar EPC projects.
- Have sound technical knowledge of solar EPC materials, including solar modules, inverters, DC and AC cables, mounting structures, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgear, earthing materials, and other Balance of System (BOS) items.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate prices, and finalize vendors.
- Coordinate with project, design, engineering, planning, and site teams to understand material requirements.
- Ensure timely material procurement and delivery at project sites as per project schedules.
- Develop new vendors and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with approved commercial terms and procurement procedures.
- Monitor material prices, market trends, lead times, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Follow up on pending deliveries, quality issues, warranty claims, and replacement materials.
- Maintain procurement MIS, savings reports, order trackers, and vendor performance records.
