We are hiring for the role of Senior Manager/Associate General Manager- Plumbing

Job description is as given below:-

Position Overview

The AGM MEP (Plumbing) will lead and manage all MEP functions for township infrastructure development projects. The role focuses on planning, design coordination, costing, procurement support, billing, and execution of plumbing and associated utility works. The AGM will ensure quality, safety, timely delivery, and cost efficiency across all stages of MEP execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning & Coordination

• Lead overall planning of Jack well, WTP, STP, plumbing and related utilities for township and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with design consultants, architects, structural engineers, and internal project teams.
• Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, and ensure compliance with project requirements and statutory norms.
• Prepare and update project schedules, material planning, and manpower deployment plans.
• Co-ordination with the township sector developer’s teams.

2. Execution & Site Management

• Oversee execution of Jackwell, WTP, STP, Plumbing, fire-fighting, and utility services per approved drawings and standards.
• Ensure timely installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP works.
• Monitor contractor performance, work quality, safety protocols, and adherence to timelines.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering solutions at the site.
  

3. Costing, Budgeting & Estimation

• Prepare BOQs, rate analysis, and cost estimates for plumbing packages.
• Review contractor quotations, provide technical justification, and support procurement in vendor finalisation.
• Monitor budget consumption, cost variations, and value-engineering opportunities.

4. Billing & Documentation

• Review and certify contractor bills, measurement sheets, and site records.
• Ensure accurate documentation, compliance reports, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with finance and billing teams for timely payments and closure of commercial issues.

5. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified MEP contractors and vendors in coordination with the procurement team.
• Review performance, resolve disputes, and ensure adherence to contract terms.
• Drive implementation of best practices and new technologies in township MEP works.

6. Compliance, Standards & Safety

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes (IS/IEC/NBC), statutory requirements, and environmental norms.
• Enforce project safety, quality control procedures, and audit mechanisms.

7. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor the MEP engineering team across multiple sites.
• Build capability within the team through training and performance monitoring.
• Present periodic progress updates and reports to senior management.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical expertise in Jack well, WTP, STP, plumbing works, fire-fighting, external services and utility networks.
• Experience in township infrastructure: roads, stormwater, sewer, water supply, HT/LT networks, STP/WTP integration, irrigation system etc.
• Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project/Primavera), AutoCAD, BOQ preparation, and cost management.
• Excellent understanding of building codes, IS/IEC standards, and quality/safety practices.
• Strong leadership, vendor management, negotiation, and decision-making capability.
• Ability to handle multi-site execution and large contractor teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• M.E./M.Tech preferred.
• 15–20 years of relevant experience in township, infrastructure, or large-scale real estate projects.
