Overview

The incumbent will be responsible to lead architecture and ship high performance, reliable app which helps us deliver awesome experience to our end users at SonyLIV.

Title: Technical Architect iOS Technology

Education: B.E./B.Tech, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

Overall Experience: 10+ years

Essential expertise: Experience in iOS app development across Phone, iPad and tvOS

Key Responsibilities

Building individual features and products, Bring in best practices and patterns that can be used for engineering lifecycle for discipline

Excellent product which enhance user experience Product Quality

Take ownership of end-to-end product quality Developing & maintaining core app frameworks that help make the apps more reliable and delightful

Reducing the Crashes, ANR and providing stable experience across the platform POCs

Create prototypes of new ideas

Explore new technologies on the forefront of mobile technology New ideas and features exploration without impacting the product development roadmap

Technical:

Hands-on experience in building mobile applications and mobility solutions - native applications Sound understanding of Swift, Xcode, iOS versions, debugging tools, memory management, multi-threading techniques, UI design and architectural patterns.

Should have excellent programming/coding and logical skills.

Experience with OTT tech stack is a plus.

Expert-level knowledge of iOS development, including technologies like UIKit, Swift UI, Core Animation, Auto Layout and Cocoa Touch

Should be able to do technical and architecture planning for the development with various stack holders and vendors.

Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability along with strong CS & OS fundamentals

Experience with IOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Bluetooth, CocoaPods etc.

Experience with offline storage and performance tuning.

Deep understanding iOS memory management and multi-threading Understanding of Apple design principles and interface guidelines.

Should have excellent programming/coding and logical skills.

Should be able to do technical and architecture planning for the development with various stack holders and vendors.

Good working experience on Web Service Integration (REST, JSON, XML)

Sound working experience with AVPlayer, IMA SDK and DRM.

Experience in using analytics, location and social APIs, MDM, payment gateway, SMS gateway, Media content transcoding and cloud integration, APM tools
