Job Description
- As an App Motion Designer at Stashfin, you will play a crucial role in bringing life to the mobile and web experiences by creating compelling animations, transitions, and interactive micro-motions. Your collaborative efforts with product designers, graphic designers, and engineers will define the motion language, enhance usability, and elevate the emotional impact of digital interfaces. Your work will contribute significantly to building a delightful, intuitive, and engaging user journey across a range of fintech products.
- Create high-quality animations, transitions, micro-interactions, and motion prototypes for mobile and web platforms.
- Use motion design principles to guide user attention, improve usability, and support intuitive navigation to enhance the app experience.
- Collaborate with the product design team to define and maintain a scalable motion system consistent with the brand.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to seamlessly integrate motion into live products.
- Build motion prototypes using tools like After Effects, Principle, or Lottie, and prepare assets for developer implementation.
- Stay updated on motion trends in fintech and mobile UI/UX to drive innovation and experimentation in design expression.
- Design animations that are not only visually appealing but also optimized for smooth performance across different devices.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Animation, Motion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 4 - 7 years of experience in motion design, with a strong focus on mobile and web apps.
- Proficiency in motion and design tools like After Effects, Figma, Lottie, Principle, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Solid understanding of timing, easing, transitions, and user interaction principles.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to implement animations using Lottie, CSS, or similar technologies.

- A strong portfolio showcasing motion work integrated into app experiences (not limited to marketing videos).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in fintech, consumer tech, or related industries.
- Familiarity with front-end development basics such as CSS animations, JavaScript-based motion frameworks is a plus.
- Experience in designing for accessibility and performance in motion.
