• Key Responsibilities
• Sales Order Generation
• Achieve monthly annual sales targets
• Generate orders from dealers, retailers, contractors, builders customers
• Develop new customers and increase business from existing customers
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations, pending orders sales opportunities
• Convert leads and market enquiries into sales
• Dealer Retailer Management
• Regularly visit dealers and retailers in the assigned territory
• Build strong long-term channel relationships
• Monitor dealer stock, sales movement future demand
• Support dealers in increasing secondary sales and market penetration
• Identify potential new dealers/retailers
• Ensure product visibility and availability in the market
• Market Development
• Develop new territories and untapped markets
• Identify residential, commercial, industrial infrastructure projects
• Meet builders, contractors, engineers, architects, fabricators influencers
• Generate project leads and follow up for business conversion
• Increase product and brand awareness in the assigned territory
• Market Competitor Analysis
• Track competitor brands, prices, schemes dealer margins
• Monitor market demand and customer preferences
• Report competitor activities and market developments
• Identify opportunities for increasing market presence
• Collections Customer Management
• Follow up with customers/dealers for outstanding payments
• Monitor customer-wise outstanding and credit limits
• Coordinate with accounts team for overdue payments
• Maintain strong payment discipline
• Handle customer requirements and routine issues
• Field Visits Territory Coverage
• Plan daily weekly field visits
• Regularly cover dealers, retailers, contractors project sites
• Maintain productive field activity
• Develop route plans for maximum customer coverage
• Sales Reporting MIS
• Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales field visit reports
• Maintain records of visits, enquiries, orders, collections leads
• Track sales achievement against targets
• Maintain updated dealer/customer/project database
• Provide sales forecasts and market feedback

Required Skills

• Strong field-sales customer acquisition skills
• Dealer retailer relationship management
• Good negotiation communication skills
• Strong follow-up ability
• Basic understanding of sales commercial terms
• Business development market identification skills
• MS Excel / Google Sheets mobile reporting
• Good knowledge of the local market
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory

Preferred Industry Background

Experience in TMT Steel, Cement, Building Materials, Construction Materials, Hardware or other channel-driven industries will be preferred.

Candidates with strong field-sales experience in FMCG, Electricals, Paints, Pipes, Tiles, Sanitaryware or similar distribution businesses may also be considered.
