Assistant Manager - Finance Operations - ECommerce/Marketplace

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Assistant Manager Finance Operations to manage and improve critical finance processes across Order-to-Cash, reconciliations, receivables, payables, working capital, and financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of e-commerce/marketplace business models, finance operations, and controllership, along with the ability to work with large transaction volumes and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, ensuring timely and accurate accounting and collections.
• Handle high-volume transaction data and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely closure of financial transactions.
• Drive cash-to-revenue reconciliation and identify and resolve variances.
• Manage and oversee marketplace receivables and payables, including reconciliation and settlement-related activities.
• Perform regular bank, ledger, customer, vendor, and transaction-level reconciliations.
• Support working capital management through effective monitoring of receivables, payables, collections, and cash flows.
• Partner with business, operations, technology, and other cross-functional teams to resolve financial and process-related issues.
• Identify gaps in existing finance processes and drive process improvements and standardization.
• Support finance transformation and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Develop and monitor MIS, dashboards, and operational finance metrics.
• Ensure appropriate controls and processes are in place from a controllership and compliance perspective.
• Investigate transaction-level discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Support month-end and periodic financial closing activities.
• Contribute to building scalable finance processes aligned with the organization's growth.

Educational Qualification:

• CA (1st attempt only) preferred, especially for fresher profiles.
• Candidates with relevant finance qualifications and strong Finance Operations experience may also be considered.
