Assistant Quality Assurance Manager

Role & responsibilities:

Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.

• Plan, schedule, and conduct internal quality audits and management reviews.
• Ensure all quality records, formats, and procedures are properly controlled.
• Handle customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement correcve actions.
• Monitor quality performance at incoming, in-process, and final stages.
• Ensure calibraon and verificaon of all inspecon instruments.
• Conduct supplier audits and approve new suppliers.
• Train staff on quality procedures, customer requirements, and problem-solving techniques.
• Review customer PPAP documentaon and ensure compliance.
• Support producon and NPD during trials and new product validaon.
• Manage customer complaints (8D, Why-Why, RCA)
• 
  Handle and maintain all IATF 16949:2016 documents including:

1. APQP, PPAP, PFMEA/DFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram
2. MSA, SPC, Risk Analysis, SOP/WI, Audit Records
3. CSR documentation

• Lead internal audits, process audits, LPA, and support 3rd-party certification audits (IATF, ISO 9001/14001/45001).
• Execute APQP activities for new product development and validate processes (Cp, Cpk, MSA).
• Implement Lean tools: TPM, 5S, SMED, JIT, VSM, Kaizen, Pokayoke, VAVE.
• Lead Six Sigma projects using DMAIC, DFSS, PDCA, SIPOC.

  Get Hired
• Manage supplier audits, evaluation, PPM control, and vendor development activities.
• Prepare quality MIS, KPIs (PPM, rejection %, audit scores, COPQ) and drive corrective actions.
• IATF Internal auditor certificate

Preferred candidate profile:

• B.E./B.Tech in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Post-graduate qualifications (M.Tech/MBA in Operations/Quality) are an added advantage.
• Certifications preferred: Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), CQE, Lead Auditor ISO 9001/ IATF 16949.
• Experience from rubber industry is preferred
• IATF Internal auditor certificate
