Job Description
- As a Deputy General Manager in Quality Assurance and Quality Control at Sumitomo Chemical India Limited (SCIL) based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, your role will involve leading the QAQC function to ensure compliance with global standards and drive continuous improvement in quality across all operational facets. You will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing advanced quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Strategically lead and oversee the entire QAQC function to align processes with organizational goals and global standards.
- Systems Architecture: Develop, implement, and maintain advanced Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure superior product quality and operational excellence.
- Compliance and Audits: Establish and enforce compliance with global regulatory requirements and industry standards. Direct and manage all internal and external audits and inspections.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align QAQC strategies with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to uphold product quality.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational teams by leveraging data-driven insights to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor key quality metrics, provide comprehensive reports to senior management, and offer strategic recommendations for risk mitigation and capitalizing on opportunities.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. MBA Preferred.
- Extensive experience in quality management and quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading teams.

- Proven audit and inspection expertise, with the ability to manage complex audits and corrective action plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
