Engineer SQA - Supplier Quality

Role & responsibilities

The Resource - SQE-Non Metallics is responsible for the development & ongoing control of vendors ensuring the planning of Supplier quality deliverables in Current & New Projects along with a timeline aligned to the Quality Targets & Overall project plan of the organization, and plays a pivotal point of contact between SQA, Sourcing, Product development, Plant quality & QMO teams to manage the following tasks related to bought-out parts

Preferred candidate profile

1. Responsible for Development & current product Quality which includes Dimensional, Aesthetic quality of unpainted / Painted A class plastic parts, rubber molded & extrusion products

2. Adequate technical knowledge in Material properties, processing & tooling of plastic injection molding, blow molding, rubber molding products

3. Adequate technical knowledge in process troubleshooting, tool development & DFM for plastic injection molding, blow molding, rubber molding

4. Hands on experience in handling special process related to plastic parts - plastic painting, decal application & plating process

5. Key window person with supplier throughout the development phase, PPAP, SOP and beyond SOP regular support.

6. Participate in Design & development review & conduct PFR for the manufacturing feasibility and improvement on product design & engineering for better quality of the product. Proficient knowledge in GD & T, 2D drawing understanding & review.

7. Interaction with Design (Studio) and CMF (Colour, Material & Finish) team to understand the expectations and convert the requirement on the product. Conduct aesthetic review for "A" Class parts and make aesthetic standard sign off with CFT

8. Conducting PTR, PPAP, MSA, SPC at Supplier place and PSW approval. Meet the Build objective of the project in terms of Product quality and Vehicle level fit & finish.

9. Experience in supplier development, supplier assessment for Polymer parts

10. Provide technical support in polymer material selection, material failure analysis with adequate knowledge on material properties, testing standards.

11. Ensure on-time closure of DFM,100% PIST for NPD parts &100% GR acceptance for the parts after PPAP approval

12. Responsible for Field failure warranty analysis, Understanding & Interpretation of Lab test results - TGA/FTIR/DSC/Weatherometer for Polymer parts

13. Support and initiate VAVE through alternate material proposal for high-cost polymer products, metal to plastic conversion, painting elimination by In-Mold direct finish concept.

14. Hands on experience on painted/Plated plastics & unpainted parts to improve aesthetics of vehicle Scope and Impact Financial Accountability
