Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Engineer with over 7 years of experience in using Mainframe, COBOL, PL/I programming language, JCL, DB2, IMS Database, CICS, AS400. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the robustness and stability of executions.

Technical Skills:

• Coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining mainframe applications.
• Proficient in COBOL, Assembler, and PL/I programming language
• Skilled in working with DB2 and IMS databases
• Experienced in using JCL and SDSF for job control and system monitoring.
• Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot mainframe applications.
• Skilled in analyzing complex problems and providing effective solutions.
• Proficient in optimizing mainframe system performance
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing batch processing solutions
• Skilled in integrating mainframe applications with other systems.
• Knowledge of mainframe security principles and best practices.
• Proficient in change management processes and version control systems.
• Skilled in refactoring mainframe code for improved maintainability and readability.
• Proficient in mainframe testing and quality assurance methodologies.
• Strong documentation skills for clear and concise technical writing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in teams
• Proactive in staying up-to-date with new mainframe technologies and industry trends.
• Experienced in leading mainframe development teams and mentoring junior developers.
