Job description / Role
You’ll take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. From invoices to payroll to tax filings, you’ll keep the numbers sharp, the systems clean, and the team informed. You’ll play a key role in supporting the business with accurate financial insights, timely reporting, and process improvements that keep things moving as we scale.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organised, and not afraid to dig into the detail. You’ll be the go-to for all things finance and compliance – while also looking ahead to help us build a smarter, more automated financial future.
What You’ll Do
Financial operations & bookkeeping
- Oversee daily financial transactions and bookkeeping in Xero
- Manage general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
- Process invoices, purchases, receipts, payments, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Keep financial records current, clean, and audit-ready
- Monitor cash flow and manage company bank accounts
Reporting & compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual finance reports
- File VAT and corporate tax returns on time and accurately
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process

Budgeting & forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Support projects in template creation and project spend tracking
- Utilise Xero to monitor budgets versus actuals and flag variances for review
Payroll & employee cost
- Process monthly payroll, ensuring timely WPS submissions and deductions
- Maintain accurate employee financial records and end of service calculations
- Track and reconcile employee-related costs
Process improvements & systems
- Spot inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend smarter ways of working
- Help implement and refine systems to support automation and scalability
Requirements
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE tax
- Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Proactive, self-managing, and dependable
- Comfortable juggling bookkeeping, compliance, and process work
- Proficiency in Xero and Excel is a must
- ACCA, CPA, or CA qualification is a plus
- Must be currently based in the UAE and have a car and driving licence
