Our client is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Warehouse Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our data warehouse infrastructure. Your expertise in ETL tools, open-source data warehouse architecture, and data integration will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data warehouse solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data warehouse solutions:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data warehouse designs.
• Design and implement data models, schemas, and architecture for optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Implement and optimize ETL workflows:
• Utilize your expertise in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or equivalent) to build and maintain data integration workflows.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize ETL processes for improved efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL process by implementing data validation and cleansing techniques.
• Maintain and enhance the data warehouse infrastructure:
• Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Implement automation and monitoring solutions to streamline operational tasks and ensure the availability and reliability of the data warehouse.
• Collaborate with system administrators and database administrators to manage data storage, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders:
• Work closely with business users, data analysts, and other teams to understand their data requirements and provide scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability and accessibility for advanced analytics and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the team, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer, with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions.
• Strong proficiency in ETL tools and technologies, such as Informatica, Talend, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of open-source data warehouse architecture (e.g., Apache Hive, Apache Hadoop, or Snowflake).
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling of ETL processes.
• Experience with Vertica columnar database, for data warehousing and analytics is a great plus.
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data-related issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
