PPC/Materials SeniorEngineer

Manages end-to-end raw material planning, inventory optimization, and supplier scheduling to ensure uninterrupted production. Coordinate with purchasing/stores to balance material availability with production schedules and cost targets.

Responsible for overseeing the production planning and control processes to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Proficiency in with SAP for material and production planning,

Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP (SAP 6.0 preferred), MS Excel (Advanced), and data analysis tools.

Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, vendor management, and understanding of quality systems

Key responsibilities

Production Planning: Developing and executing production schedules and plans to meet customer demands. Analysing production capacity, lead times, and inventory levels to create feasible production plans.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining and updating production documentation and generating reports on production status.

Production Scheduling: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules (machining, assembly) based on customer orders and available capacity

Material Planning & Procurement Support: Analyse Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to raise purchase requisitions for raw materials, components, and consumables based on production schedules.

Inventory Optimization: Maintain optimal stock levels (required analysis), reducing excess inventory while preventing material shortages and stock-outs.

Supplier Coordination & Scheduling: Coordinate with vendors to align delivery schedules with production requirements and ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery.

ERP & Data Management: Utilize SAP (PP module) to manage Bill of Materials (BOM), create and monitor orders, and maintain accuracy of item cards.

Performance Analysis: Track KPIs, including Inventory Turnover Ratio, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and material shortage reports to initiate corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement: Support cost reduction initiatives, material substitution studies, and lean manufacturing principles.
