Head - Procurement/Sourcing

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end sourcing strategy across hair care, skin care, personal care and beauty categories.
- Build a strong and scalable supplier/manufacturer ecosystem across India.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard new manufacturing partners aligned to Purplle's growth plans.
- Develop sourcing capabilities that enable speed, innovation, cost competitiveness and quality.
- Drive strategic negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers across pricing, capacity, MOQ, lead times and commercial terms.

- Develop a deep understanding of the ecosystem, including manufacturers, formulations, capabilities and market trends.
- Partner closely with category, product, finance and business teams to translate category requirements into sourcing strategies.
- Build alternate supplier networks and improve supply resilience.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, product innovation and faster time-to-market.

You should be:
- Entrepreneurial - comfortable building from scratch and operating with limited playbooks.
- Hands-on - willing to get into supplier, factory and sourcing-level details when required.
- Strategic + execution-oriented - capable of moving seamlessly between long-term strategy and day-to-day problem solving.
- AI-native and technology-oriented - actively looking at how AI, data and automation can transform sourcing and decision-making.
- Commercially sharp - strong understanding of cost, margins, negotiations and supplier economics.
- High ownership - comfortable taking end-to-end accountability for outcomes.
- Influential - capable of working directly with the CBO, founder and senior stakeholders.
