Manager - Finance

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager to manage the end-to-end finance, accounting, reporting, and taxation functions for a company within an established private equity group in India. The role involves overseeing day-to-day financial operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and fund-related activities for the company and its affiliated entities, including outsourced finance functions.

Accounting and Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and finalize quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure timely regulatory filings and responses to stakeholder queries.
• Review and supervise the financial operations of investee companies, including account finalization, investment valuations, return projections, and business reporting.
• Prepare capital drawdown and distribution notices, track cash receipts, and coordinate share issuances with corporate secretaries.
• Prepare and circulate quarterly and annual capital account statements, shareholder reports, and investor reports.

Financial Operations and Management:

• Manage bank accounts, bank reconciliations, cash flows, and short-term treasury investments.
• Oversee receipts, payments, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts, monitor actual performance, and report budget-versus-actual variances to senior management.
• Ensure timely invoicing under management and advisory agreements and oversee the allocation of shared expenses across funds.
• Prepare projected cash balances, profit and loss statements, and tax estimates.
• Support grant applications and other corporate actions.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Supervise the preparation and filing of tax returns, including estimated tax filings, annual tax returns, and GST returns for the company and its affiliated entities.
• Ensure timely responses to regulatory notices and queries.
• Ensure adherence to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and financial operations.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, regulators, and senior management.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while managing day-to-day finance operations.
