Job Description

• Lead plant finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, MIS, accounting, and financial controls.

• Drive plant profitability through cost monitoring, variance analysis, and productivity improvement initiatives.

• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

• Monitor inventory valuation, WIP accounting, product costing, and capitalization of assets.

• Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Projects, and Commercial teams to support business decisions.

• Ensure statutory, taxation, internal audit, and regulatory compliance.

• Drive working capital optimization including inventory, receivables, and payables management.

• Implement and strengthen internal financial controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.

• Support external audits, statutory audits, internal audits, and corporate reviews.

• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and management reviews for plant leadership and corporate finance teams.

• Drive digitalization and finance process improvement initiatives.

Essential Attributes:

• Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and plant controllership.

• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.

• Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and audit requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and influence business decisions.

• Strong controls mindset with focus on compliance and governance.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.

Desirable Attributes:

• Exposure to Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Engineering, or Heavy Manufacturing sectors.

• Experience in project accounting and contract-based manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, and advanced analytics tools.

• Experience managing finance teams in a multi-location manufacturing setup.

Desired Experience Level (in years)

10–12 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing plant finance leadership role.
