Job Description

About the role:
The AM - Legal will be responsible for ensuring legal adherence, managing corporate compliance, and mitigating risks by providing legal counsel. The role involves handling contracts, regulatory compliance, legal documentation, and supporting corporate governance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including but not limited to MOUs, NDAs, Vendor Agreements, and Master Service Agreements, to safeguard organization’s rights and interests and adhere to internal policies governing Contracting.
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, from execution to performance monitoring. Ensure timely renewals, amendments, and compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and manage the Contract Management Tool, ensuring full adherence to the companys end-to-end contracting process. Provide necessary support to the stakeholders with troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide advice on contract requirements, identify legal risks, and assess potential liabilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for legal compliance, pre-contract due diligence, and the drafting and review of legal documents.
  • Maintain contract trackers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to turnaround times (TAT) for all contract-related deliverables.
  • Stay informed on relevant legal and regulatory changes impacting company operations, regularly updating and consulting with the legal team.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance requirements including for Ecommerce rules, Data Privacy, etc.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, identifying and mitigating risks.
Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with legal documentation, contracts, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Should be able to review high volume of Contracts in a stringent timeline.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal information and provide practical legal solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
  • LLB with PQE of minimum 8 years.
  • Prior experience in ecommerce / ITES/ Retail or relevant background will be of advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
