Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Flow Development:

Design and develop efficient process flows for new assembly lines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the process meets production requirements and quality standards.

2. PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis):

Conduct PFMEA for new assembly processes to identify potential failure modes.

Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.

3. Technical Documentation (TDS):

Prepare comprehensive Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for new assembly lines, detailing process parameters, machine settings, and operational guidelines.

Ensure that all documentation is aligned with industry standards and customer requirements.

4. Validation:

Lead the validation process for new assembly lines, including trial runs, process capability studies, and production ramp-up.

Monitor and analyze validation results, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.

5. Installation and Commissioning:

Oversee the installation and commissioning of new assembly lines in the plant.

Ensure that all equipment and processes are set up according to the validated process flow and TDS.

6. Supplier Finalization and Techno-Commercial Expertise:

Lead the supplier selection and finalization process for assembly line integration, focusing on both technical and commercial aspects.

Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.

7. Project Management:

Track new projects within the department and manage assigned projects from inception to completion.

Develop project timelines, manage resources, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

8. Handover and Support:

Facilitate the handover of the new assembly line to the maintenance, production, and quality teams.

Provide training and support to ensure a seamless transition and ongoing optimal operation.

Preferred Skills:

1. APQP and PPAP: Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure compliance with automotive industry standards.

2. VDA PFMEA: Competence in conducting Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) according to VDA guidelines to identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes.

3. Poka-yoke: Understanding and implementation of Poka-yoke (error-proofing) techniques to prevent defects in the manufacturing process.

4. Process Validation: Strong experience in validating manufacturing processes through trial runs, capability studies, and production ramp-up.

5. DFAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing): Knowledge of DFAM principles to optimize product designs for manufacturability using advanced technologies.

6. Industry 4.0 and Automation: Knowledge and experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, including smart manufacturing, IoT integration, and automation solutions.

7. SPM Design: Expertise in concept designing and implementing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) to enhance production efficiency and quality.

8. Jig/Fixture Design: Proficiency in designing jigs and fixtures that support accurate and efficient assembly processes.

9. PLC and HMI: Experience with programming and integrating PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems in manufacturing processes.

10. Process Routing in SAP: Basic Knowledge of SAP transactions like PR, PO, process routing, material transactions, Asset management, Vendor management access in SAP.
