Deputy General Manager - Process Excellence - Transition

Brief Role Description:

To lead and institutionalize end-to-end transition and transformation programs across Tata Motors and group entities, enabling TMGSL to evolve as a best-in-class Global Delivery Center. The role drives process excellence, digital transformation, and value delivery aligned to Tata Motors strategic priorities of efficiency, scalability, and innovation.

Job Roles & Responsibilities – Level

• Lead large-scale transitions into TMGSL GDC across Finance (P2P, OTC, R2R), H2R, and other functions.
• Define transition frameworks, ensure minimal disruption, and drive cross-entity consolidation.
• Anchor digital transformation including RPA, AI, and GenAI use cases. Evaluate platforms, drive adoption roadmap, and partner with IT for SAP and enterprise integration.
• 
  Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives for cost optimization, productivity improvement, and process standardization. Establish value tracking frameworks and ensure measurable outcomes.
• Build capabilities in process excellence and digital acumen, mentor teams, and align with Tata Motors values
• Establish governance with CXO visibility, track KPIs, and provide insights on risks and opportunities while ensuring compliance and audit alignment.
• Act as strategic partner to business leaders, manage CXO relationships, and drive alignment across TMGSL and Tata Motors entities.

Essential & Desirable Skills:

1. Functional Knowledge of Skills (Must Have)

• Hands on experience in Transitions, experience in driving enterprise level digital transformation/ PMO experience

2. Educational Qualification: Any Post-graduate, MBA / Engineering preferred

3. Language Proficiency: Understanding of digital tools in shared services

4. Experience Required

• 15–20+ years in shared services, transformation, and transition leadership
