Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner or Business Analyst to bridge the gap between Finance/FP&A stakeholders and technology delivery teams on data and analytics initiatives. You will translate complex financial concepts - P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis - into clear business requirements, user stories, and data mappings for technology teams to build.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between business/finance stakeholders and technology delivery teams, translating business needs into actionable requirements.
• Gather and define requirements related to Corporate Finance and FP&A processes, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, estimates, variance analysis, allocations, and capitalization.
• Define KPIs, business rules, data requirements, and data mappings in collaboration with finance and technology teams.
• Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for data/analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, working within Agile delivery methodologies.
• Manage backlog and work items using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Identify source systems, data owners, dependencies, and data gaps relevant to finance and technology data flows.
• Facilitate discussions and present findings/requirements to senior Finance, FP&A, and Technology leaders.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, FP&A, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of data and analytics solutions.
• Support the definition of requirements for financial dashboards and management reporting where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or equivalent role within data, analytics, finance transformation or technology programmes.
• Strong experience working between business/finance stakeholders and technology delivery teams.
• Good working knowledge of Corporate Finance and FP&A, including P&L, Budgeting, Forecasting, Estimates, Variance analysis, Allocations, Capitalization etc.
• Strong ability to define KPIs, business rules, data requirements and data mappings.
• Experience creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for data/analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog and work-item management.
• Experience identifying source systems, data owners, dependencies and data gaps.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with senior Finance, FP&A and Technology leaders.

Strongly Preferred:

• Knowledge of the Technology Business Management (TBM) framework.
• Experience with technology finance / IT finance reporting.
• Experience with technology cost allocation and TBM tower/sub-tower mapping.
• Experience working on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or other data/analytics platforms.
