The company is the Head Office & Global Manufacturing Site of a USA based company, a world leader in Gelatin Capsules the Machine Division manufactures laboratory scale Pharma machines. Over 95% of sales are North America, the EU & Japan.

Position: Senior Manager - Production
Diploma / Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering OR Graduate / Post Graduate in Chemistry.
Job Profile

Principal thrust area : You will be responsible for:

- Improving production processes, implementing new methods, systems, technologies to increase efficiency, output, quality and reduce costs.

- Oversee achievement of targets for Output, Quality, Cost and Delivery Date through optimum use of manpower, material and machines.

Key Deliverables:

- Lead production and engineering teams for process and equipment improvement to increase efficiency, output, quality and reduce costs.

- Oversee production activities based on the Production Dispatch Schedule (PDS) issued by the Sales team in the USA and EU. PDS is based on plant capacity.

- Oversee activities to maintain and improve control over process parameters to increase saleable product yield.

- Oversee activities to work with cross-functional teams for work related to capsule production, dispatch and complaints.

- Maintenance of FDA, GMP, Capexil, ISO and good documentation practices. Preparing MIS reports.

- Coordinate with Utility team for daily breakdown and preventive maintenance related activities.

- Lead monthly Production Department meeting with overseas Director. Coordinate communication with US and EU sales teams.

- Oversee development of new colors and sizes of our products and qualifying new suppliers.

- Annual goal setting, appraisal and training & development of direct reportees for efficiency, & growth.

- Coordinate with QA team on SPC and use of statistical data for process monitoring e.g sample size, average, 3sd, % within specs etc.
