Azure Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture:

• Design, provision, and configure cloud infrastructure within Azure using IaC

principles to ensure automation, consistency, and scalability.

• Review existing cloud implementations and design a future-proof architecture for the

Data and Analytics platform.

• Define and implement standardised naming conventions and cloud configurations for

a structured, manageable environment.

Security and Access Management:

• Configure robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) and User Access

Management (UAM) to ensure secure and controlled access to all data resources.

• Enforce data security and governance policies in line with organisational standards.

Environment Setup and CI/CD:

• Establish and configure distinct environments (Development, Testing, Staging,

Production) to support strong CI/CD processes.

governance tools (e.g., Unity Catalog) to support the Medallion architecture.

• Integrate and configure SDLC tools, including source code management and CI/CD

pipelines, to manage code repositories and automated deployments.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, data pipelines, data

models, and BI report deployments across environments.

Testing Infrastructure:

• Provide infrastructure to facilitate comprehensive testing, including Unit Testing,

Regression Testing, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Core Deliverables & Success Criteria:

• Foundational Stability: Deliver a robust, scalable, and future-proof data and

analytics platform.

• Documentation Completeness: Provide comprehensive documentation covering

architecture, data flows, governance policies, environment configurations, and

IAM/UAM setup.

• Operational Multi-Environment Setup: Ensure Development, Testing, Staging, and

Production environments are fully operational and support strong CI/CD processes.

• Access Control: Implement effective security controls, including robust IAM and

UAM, to protect data resources.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years experience in cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration, ideally

with Azure (Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Key Vault).

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices.

• Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as

Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.

• Deep understanding of data storage concepts and data governance, particularly the

Medallion architecture.

• Experience setting up and configuring data platforms for multiple Software

Development Lifecycle (SDLC) stages.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Excellent command of English (written and verbal) is required.

• Ability to work effectively across LATAM time zones is required.
