Civil Engineer - Data & AutoCAD

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Civil Engineer - Data & AUTOCAD to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the successful execution of wastewater and sewage projects by employing their expertise in Excel, AutoCAD 2D, civil engineering, and experience in the field. The Junior Design & Billing Engineer will work closely with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate design documentation, progress tracking, data analysis, and subcontractor billing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Utilize Excel to Analyze Data:

Collaborate with site engineers to obtain measurements and data from the project site on a day to day basis.

Leverage Excel to organize, analyze, and visualize data to better understand real-life site situations and identify overdue tasks and gaps in networks.

Review work programs and project schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Subcontractor Billing:

Work closely with site engineers to gather accurate data for work completed by subcontractors.

Use Excel to prepare detailed bills for subcontractors based on the work completed.

Ensure bills are accurately prepared and submitted within the stipulated timelines.

AutoCAD 2D Drawing:

Utilize AutoCAD 2D to prepare as-built drawings of sewerage networks on a regular basis as per the progress on the project site.

Civil Engineering Expertise:

Apply civil engineering knowledge to ensure the execution of works and drawings adhere to CPHEEO manual guidelines.

Participate in drawing analysis discussions and contribute ideas to enhance project efficiency and quality of drawings.

Progress Tracking and Reporting:

Maintain a comprehensive record of project progress, design changes, and any identify and report any deviations from the original work plan.

Generate regular progress reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and potential solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to foster effective communication and alignment of project goals.

Provide technical support and insights to different project phases.

Knowledge Enhancement:

Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in wastewater treatment and sewerage network projects.

Attend relevant training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and billing purposes.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD 2D for preparing design drawings.
• Knowledge and experience in wastewater/sewerage networks and sewage treatment plants preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
