Job Description
- As a Senior Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications. Your role will involve collaborating with developers to understand application features, designing test cases, and executing automated tests to ensure software quality. You will leverage your strong experience in writing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, along with a solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Your proficiency in TypeScript for writing test scripts and familiarity with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions will be essential for this role. You should have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated and manual testing environments, along with knowledge of cross-browser testing techniques and handling browser compatibility issues.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Playwright in large-scale production-level applications, knowledge of API testing and integration testing tools like Postman or REST Assured, and experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
This is a full-time contractual role with a hybrid work environment, offering flexible working hours from 1 PM to 10 PM. Key responsibilities will include continuously improving the test automation framework, analyzing test results, and providing actionable feedback on software quality. You will also participate in the design and implementation of testing strategies for new features and releases, ensuring that test scripts are scalable and reusable.
In addition to developing and maintaining test cases, test plans, and test scripts, you will integrate Playwright tests with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your support in manual testing when necessary and assistance with regression testing will be valuable contributions to the team.
