Job Description
- As a Product Line Application Engineer (PL AE) at Tektronix, you will play a crucial role in advancing high-speed serial solutions, focusing on technologies such as PCIe, CXL, UCIe, and Ethernet. You will collaborate with the Technology Domain Expert to contribute to standards development, solution validation, customer support, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring Tektronix's continued leadership in the test and measurement industry.
Your responsibilities will include supporting standards development by running experiments, preparing demo setups, participating in industry events, and staying updated on activities in the PCIe, CXL, and Ethernet ecosystems. Additionally, you will work closely with engineering teams to define technical requirements, validate software builds, develop automation scripts, and contribute to feature development.
In terms of sales enablement, you will create technical content, support webinars and product launches, and collaborate with marketing and product management to align messaging with customer use cases. You will also provide pre-sales technical support by delivering product demos, technical presentations, and training sessions to field teams and customers.
Your role will involve post-sales customer support, where you will troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, engage with key customers to ensure satisfaction, and provide feedback to guide product improvements. You will be required to have a strong technical acumen in high-speed serial technologies, a proactive and collaborative mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.

To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in applications engineering, validation, or customer support in the test & measurement or semiconductor industry. Proficiency in PCIe Gen5/Gen6, CXL, and Ethernet technologies, hands-on experience with lab equipment, and strong communication skills are essential. Additionally, experience with Python for automation and a willingness to travel domestically and internationally are required.
