General Manager - Demand & Supply Planning

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced GM Demand & Supply Planner to lead demand and supply planning activities and drive end-to-end planning excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in demand planning, sales forecasting, statistical demand planning, Kinaxis, and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).
The role will be responsible for improving forecast accuracy, balancing demand and supply, optimizing inventory, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability while maintaining efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end Demand & Supply Planning function across relevant product categories and markets.
- Develop and manage accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, sales inputs, and statistical forecasting techniques.
- Drive statistical demand plan generation and continuously improve forecast accuracy.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) / Integrated Business Planning process and ensure alignment between demand, supply, and business objectives.

- Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, capacity, and supply constraints.
- Drive Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) to ensure optimal product availability across distribution networks.
- Leverage Kinaxis for demand and supply planning, scenario analysis, and supply chain optimization.
- Analyse demand and supply gaps and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor key planning KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias, inventory levels, service levels, and supply adherence.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Distribution teams.
- Identify opportunities for inventory optimization while maintaining desired customer service levels.
- Lead scenario planning and provide data-driven recommendations to support business decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems, and methodologies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop demand and supply planning teams.
- Present planning insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior management.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, or Supply Chain Planning.
- Strong hands-on experience in Demand Planning and Sales Forecasting.
- Expertise in statistical demand plan generation and forecasting methodologies.
- Strong experience with Kinaxis planning solutions.
- Good understanding of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning processes and inventory optimization.
- Experience managing demand and supply planning teams in a complex business environment.
