Job Description
- Role Overview:
Every day at Disney Cruise Line, you will have the opportunity to bring the magic of Disney to life by creating cherished memories and forming genuine connections with guests. As a Maintenance Technician - Electrician / IT based on Disney's private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment while ensuring the safety of fellow crew members and guests. You will work in a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and provide maintenance for all phases of electrical equipment on the island
- Install and maintain industrial, residential, and commercial electrical equipment and systems, including CCTV and register elements
- Install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults, and solve technical and applications problems
- Promote a safe work environment by complying with safety competencies and all company policies
- Provide lateral service to other departments as needed
Qualifications Required:
- Legally authorized to work in The Bahamas
- 3 or more years of electrician experience; Diploma or certificate supporting training as an electrician, Computer Science, or Information Technology
- Knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools, and materials common to the electrician trade

- Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety precautions in the electrician trade
- Experience using trade tools to troubleshoot complex electrical problems, including multi-meter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, and other tools
- Ability to estimate time and material needs
- Willingness to work from ladders, elevated platforms, and confined spaces
Additional Information:
This role is located on Disney's private island in the Bahamas. Applicants must be interested in working in this unique environment and willing to follow safety protocols and environmental practices. Living in a multicultural environment with strict rules and regulations will be part of the experience. Criminal background checks and approved work shoes are required, and drug/alcohol testing is mandatory for all new hires at Disney Cruise Line.,
