Role Overview

Finance professional with expertise in fund accounting, daily/weekly/monthly P&L reporting, NAV oversight, and fee calculations. Skilled in financial instrument valuation, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment. Collaborates with portfolio managers to analyse returns and optimize strategies. Ensures accurate reporting, monitors macroeconomic risks, and drives process improvements while maintaining adherence to financial regulations and investor transparency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily, weekly & monthly PNL reporting at the portfolio or fund level.
• Work closely with the portfolio managers to understand the drivers of returns (market movements, investment decisions, etc.)
• Reviewing and overseeing the calculation of NAV of investment funds, ensuring that all positions are correctly valued and investor interests are accurately reflected.
• Ensure the accurate calculation of management fees, incentive fees, including subsequent closing true ups for investors.
• Provide financial insights that influence decision making, especially related to fund allocations, liquidity management and investment strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with fund level regulations, as violations can lead to hefty fines, sanctions, etc.
• Ensuring the financial reporting & valuation processes are transparent, consistent, and compliant with the legal and fiduciary duties owed to investors.

• Review the accuracy of fair valuation of financial instruments which involves the use of complex valuation models, third party appraisals and assumptions based on limited data.
• Monitor the macroeconomic risks, such as changes in interest rates, geopolitical risks and market turndowns and ensuring that financial reporting accurately reflects the firms exposure.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the control environment.
• Adhere to financial regulations & accounting policies, assisting in the identification and mitigation of financial risks associated with trading activities.
• Validating the prices of financial products and ensuring they are accurately reflected in the companys books.

Working Conditions

• US shift hours, with flexibility required to meet deadlines or address urgent issues.
