Job Description
- As a Mortgage Quality Control Analyst, your role involves completing credit re-underwrite on all loan files based on AUS findings or manual loan approvals. You will be responsible for analyzing property appraisals to ensure that the value is supported and properties meet eligibility requirements. Additionally, you will need to analyze and recalculate borrower income sources, debt load, and debt-to-income ratio. Your expertise will be crucial in determining if loan elements align with investor guidelines and interpreting re-verification results during the QC review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter defined loan data into the Quality Control system.
- Conduct a thorough review of all closing documents and disclosures in loan files.
- Analyze Note, Mortgage, and Assignment documents with a focus on accuracy.
- Perform High Cost, APR, Amount Financed, and State Predatory tests in the Compliance Review system.
- Identify and comment on loan inaccuracies, deficiencies, and missing items.
- Assign loan level defects based on severity and type of deficiency to mitigate investor and agency risk.
- Maintain daily productivity goals and uphold quality standards.
- Engage in regular training and mentoring sessions with QC Auditor II or above.

Qualifications Required:
- 1-5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting, mortgage processing, or quality control, with knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA lending.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Highly desired knowledge of lending compliance regulations such as TRID.
