Manual Test Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Manual Tester to evaluate software applications through comprehensive manual testing. The ideal candidate will create test cases, execute testing activities, identify defects, collaborate with development teams, and contribute to enhancing product quality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  
• Execute manual testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  
• Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, smoke, and UI/UX testing.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
  
• Validate fixes and conduct re-testing of resolved defects.
  
• Prepare detailed reports on test results, defects, and quality metrics.
  
• Ensure testing processes and best practices are followed throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• 4 years of experience as a Manual Tester or QA Analyst.
  
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  
• Experience in writing and executing detailed test cases.
  
• Proficiency with test management and defect-tracking tools.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
